Clyde City approves two final replats and streamlines Planned Development zoning rules

The Clyde City Council approved two final replats and amended its Planned Development (PD) zoning rules during its Jan. 13 meeting.
City Administrator Rodger Brown told council both final replats were carryovers from the prior meeting. Council approved the replat for Lots 2–6, Block 12 (between North 2nd and North 3rd on Cherry Street) on a motion by David Mann seconded by Michael Shellhammer, and approved the replat for Lots 7–10, Block 12 (between North 2nd and North 3rd on Plum Street) on a motion by Aimee Jolly seconded by Bo Davidson. Both motions carried unanimously after public hearings produced no speakers.
Brown also introduced amendments to Exhibit 14A (Article VII, Planned Development), saying the changes remove residential provisions and simplify the zoning application process for staff and developers. Councilmember Aimee Jolly moved and David Mann seconded adoption of the PD amendment; the ordinance carried unanimously.
Why it matters: Final replats update the legal lot configuration and allow property owners and developers to proceed with land use consistent with those plats. The PD amendment is intended to streamline the city’s review process for future planned developments.
