Council also ratified the property tax increase reflected in the adopted budget and adopted a tax levy ordinance that sets the tax rate at $1.000000, of which $0.592952 will fund debt service and $0.407048 will fund maintenance and operations — a change the council described as effectively a 2.12% increase in the tax rate.
