The Athens City Council voted unanimously Dec. 22 to accept an updated housing study prepared by HdL Companies and to authorize city staff to publish the results.
City Manager Elizabeth Borstad said staff had prepared a one-page summary of the study and had not yet posted the full study online because she wanted council members to review it first. After brief presentation of key findings, the council approved acceptance and publication.
The study will be posted and made available to the public per the council’s authorization; staff did not present specific release timing during the meeting. Council took no additional action on policy or program changes based on the study at this session.
