Clyde — At its Feb. 10 meeting the City Council directed several administrative and property actions: it approved a replat to separate a one-acre parcel at 170 PR 6050, moved the financial-statement item before the executive session so the public could hear it, authorized staff to begin recruiting a new City Administrator and approved an operating agreement with Abilene Sports and Entertainment LLC (dba Abilene Flying Bisons) contingent on Clyde CISD waiving gift-deed language.
On property matters, Councilmember Bo Davidson moved to list 206 Oak Street for bids but the motion died for lack of a second; subsequent motions produced a unanimous vote to proceed with a replat of 170 PR 6050 so the one-acre portion would be separated. No sale action was taken on 206 Oak at the Feb. 10 meeting.
On agenda housekeeping, Council voted unanimously to move the financial-statement presentation ahead of executive session. With the item moved, Councilmember Bo Davidson gave a PowerPoint presentation on the city’s financial status to council and citizens before the executive session began.
After a closed executive session that began at 7:54 p.m., council returned to open session at 9:30 p.m. The council approved an operating agreement with Abilene Sports and Entertainment LLC, doing business as the Abilene Flying Bisons, on the condition that Clyde CISD waive a gift-deed clause in the draft contract. Council also directed City Secretary Connie Thornton to prepare and start the recruitment process for a City Administrator.
