The Story City Council on June 12 approved an agreement with Broadstone WS Iowa, LLC to construct and maintain a public sanitary sewer easement and awarded the I-35 Business Park North Water and Sanitary Sewer Project Phase I contract to J & K Contracting for $358,840.
Jeff Sogge of CGA presented information to the council about the legal agreement related to temporary or permanent easements. Following that presentation, Council Member Solberg moved to approve the easement agreement; Council Member Sporleder seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Under Legal Items, the council then considered Resolution No. 24-38 (tabled from the June 4 meeting) and voted to award the Phase I contract to J & K Contracting based on the bid of $358,840. Council Member Sporleder moved the resolution and Council Member Ostrem seconded; the vote was unanimous.
