The Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors reviewed a draft lease with the Poweshiek County Sportsman Association for the county shooting range but did not approve it at the April 16 meeting, saying additional edits were needed and the draft should be returned to the county attorney for legal review.
Steve Glasgow, present representing the Poweshiek County Sportsman Association, offered suggested changes to the draft lease. Supervisors Jason Roudabush (Chair), Jacki Bolen (Vice Chair), and Jeff Tindle (Member) also identified corrections and suggested changes. Rather than vote to approve the lease, the board directed that the draft containing both the association’s and the board’s suggested edits be provided to the county attorney for review and potential revision before the board considers final approval.
The minutes record no formal motion to approve the lease; instead the entry states the board did not approve the agreement at this meeting to allow time for attorney review. The board will consider a revised agreement in a future meeting after legal review and any necessary redrafting.
No public comment on the lease is recorded in the meeting minutes.
