She closed by urging the council to avoid personal attacks and to build a constructive record: "Will you forever be known as a council who can't get along? Are you willing to put past the grievances behind you? Stop the personal attacks of social media, and drama, and do the good work the residents of Oglesby have entrusted to you."
The recognition concluded with applause and warm wishes for Kleiner’s retirement; Kleiner will remain involved in city boards in a volunteer capacity, the council said.
