The Lebanon City committee on Oct. 20 recommended forwarding a business-district grant of $8,741 to council to fund an asphalt parking lot at 1109 Star Lift (applicant listed in the packet). Committee members said the application met program requirements and that business-district funds are the intended source.
Separately, staff and the streets supervisor discussed a stamped-concrete quote to repair sidewalks and reset tree boxes in the downtown business district. The streets supervisor described the planned work as replacing damaged sidewalks with a dyed and stamped concrete that resembles brick, increasing durability and preserving the historic look. He also noted adjustments to tree-box dimensions to protect roots from pedestrian traffic.
Committee members agreed to move both items forward: the small grant was recommended for approval and the stamped-concrete project was put forward as a funded business-district improvement.
Next steps: both items will be considered by the full council at the next meeting and, if approved, work will be scheduled under the business-district budget.
