During the meeting several residents had raised concerns in adjacent public hearings about snow-and-ice assessment practices, including late notices and the lack of before-and-after documentation. City Administrator Chad Baugh told the commission staff will research past billing incidents and work with residents to provide explanations and corrective action where warranted.
The motion to adopt the ordinance was made by Commissioner Roberts and seconded by Commissioner Moore; the roll-call vote was unanimous. The city also said it will outline complaint procedures and consider additional outreach to residents in affected areas.
