Parmer County court approves payroll and accounts payable, renews IT contract; sheriff reports 27 inmates

The Parmer County Commissioners Court approved routine financial and administrative items at its Dec. 23 regular session in Farwell.
Commissioner Kenny White moved to approve the minutes of the Dec. 9, 2025 meeting; Commissioner Kirk Frye seconded and the motion passed by majority vote. Treasurer Sharon May presented accounts payable lists for Dec. 16 and Dec. 23, 2025; Commissioner Charles Wilkins moved to approve payment as presented, Commissioner Casey Russell seconded, and the motion carried by majority vote. Commissioner Kirk Frye moved to approve the Treasurer's payroll report for Dec. 15, 2025; Commissioner Kenny White seconded and the motion passed by majority vote.
Judge Isabel "Izzy" Carrasco presented a yearly service agreement with NewTex IT Solutions (Robert Goff) to provide IT services and said the contract's pricing remained the same as the prior year. Commissioner Kenny White moved to approve the agreement; Commissioner Casey Russell seconded and the motion passed by majority vote.
Sheriff Eric Geske reported the Parmer County Jail roster at 27 inmates: 6 from Lamb County, 2 from Floyd County and 19 Parmer County inmates. Geske had no further matters.
With no additional business, Commissioner Kenny White moved to adjourn; Commissioner Casey Russell seconded and the court adjourned at 10:37 a.m.
