At the Loganville City utility meeting on Jan. 13, 2026, President Lankey called the utility session to order at 6:52 p.m.
Utility maintenance staff reported that the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) five-year report must be completed by April 3. Sampling for permit renewals has begun; staff noted that permit renewals require 11 samples and that four samples have been completed so far. They discussed storage options for samples (submitting once all samples are collected) and whether consulting firm Vierbicher should review the report before final submission; staff estimated such a review could cost "a few thousand" dollars but did not provide a firm estimate.
Separately, staff reported that the El Ranchito building was winterized and that they located and marked the outside water shutoff to facilitate access in the future.
Trustees moved and recorded routine motions to approve previous utility minutes (motion: Douglas/Koenig) and to pay utility bills totaling $5,844.99 (motion: Repka/Thieding); the transcript records these motions as carried. No public input was recorded during the utility meeting, which adjourned at 7:01 p.m.
Next steps: staff will continue sampling to reach the required 11 samples for permit renewal and will decide whether to commission an engineering review by Vierbicher before submitting the DNR five-year report.
