The Hartselle City Council approved a request from Police Chief Alan McDearmond to apply for a United States Police Canine Association grant in the amount of $7,500.
Chief McDearmond told the council the department has $2,500 in donated funds available to meet the grant match requirement. Council Member Austin Baker moved to approve the application and Council Member Sherry Yeager seconded; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
