Planning staff said the consultant Langford will present an updated draft of the Resilient Communities comprehensive plan at a joint Planning & Zoning and City Council meeting on April 9 so both bodies can review the same materials and provide coordinated feedback.
Staff (Nathan, speaker 3) said Langford would incorporate feedback received from the civic center and other stakeholders and present the most recent draft to both bodies at the April 9 session. Commissioners discussed logistics and seating for the joint meeting; one commissioner described the consultant's prior presentation to council as "appalling" and urged clearer communication, while staff emphasized that the joint session would let council and planning align on expectations before the plan moves forward.
No formal vote on the plan was taken at the March 12 meeting; staff said the joint April 9 meeting will be the occasion for a full presentation and further discussion.
