City Manager Allison Orkowski told the dais that staff described Talley as “detail oriented” and Williamson as “thoughtful” and “supportive.”
Talley, who said she plans to run again in the spring, thanked family, campaign staff and community partners and noted the personal connections she’s made while serving. Williamson reflected on 12 years on council and multiple appointed roles in the city, described the “honor” of public service and said he plans to remain active in community events. Both participated in a photo presentation and a reception following the meeting.
The recognition concluded before the council moved into regular session and the mayor called for the meeting’s business items to proceed.
