Separately, the commission confirmed volunteer sign-ups and outreach plans for upcoming community events: the Pleasant Hill night market opens May 1 (and the commission plans a presence), Concord will host a market May 8, and the commission is scheduled to staff shifts at the Art, Wine & Music Festival on May 16. A neighbor-night panel at College Park High School will include three panelists and has about 30 RSVPs and a $500 catering budget; commissioners discussed menu, vegetarian options and delivery logistics.
Commissioners also accepted an invitation to walk in the Clayton Pride parade (late May/May 31), discussed banner logistics and agreed to follow up when parade coordinators provide details. The meeting closed after T-shirt sizing and liaison updates from other commissions.
