Kyle said underground plumbing and electrical work has begun and that precast risers are scheduled to arrive in May with precast elements starting in June. “Foundations are progressing well,” Kyle said, adding that masons will continue work over the next several weeks and will reach roughly 18 to 20 feet on the back wall before pausing for steel installation.
Superintendent Kimberly praised the engineering solution to recent heavy rain, saying the fix prevented water and mud from entering the back of the bus barn. “It’s been a nice outcome,” Kimberly said, noting the drainage correction performed as part of the project.
The contractor invited board members to do a site walk during a future board meeting and advised visitors to check in at the contractor trailer and wear hard hats and visibility gear while the site is active. No schedule changes were reported and the board did not take action on the item; the construction update was informational.
The board will receive further updates as the project moves into precast installation and later interior build-out.
