Immediately afterward, the mayor moved that the council go into executive session to consider information related to the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee or legal counsel under Section 2(c)(1) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act. The motion was seconded, a roll call vote was taken, and the council approved the motion (all ayes). The mayor stated there would be nothing released from executive session that night.
