At its Feb. 3 meeting the Diamond Bar City Council unanimously approved the consent calendar, which included adoption of a proclamation declaring February as Black History Month, approval of the Jan. 20 meeting minutes, ratification of the check register for Jan. 14–27, and acceptance of a notice of completion for the Bridal Canyon Road storm drain lining project.
City Manager Fox previewed upcoming public presentations and community programs. Fox said a presentation about the city's financial condition and projected structural deficit — the first Preserve Diamond Bar presentation — will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Windmill Community Room at City Hall. He also announced "Coffee with the Cop" sessions on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Megaloo and on Wednesday evening, Feb. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Paris Baguette in Diamond Creek.
A motion to approve the consent calendar was moved and seconded and passed on a roll-call vote with all present councilmembers voting yes. The meeting record identifies the motion and second but contains inconsistent spellings of one councilmember's name in different parts of the transcript; the clerk recorded each member present as voting in favor.
No public hearings were held at this meeting. The council proceeded to brief councilmember reports and adjourned shortly after 7 p.m.
