Board appoints interim HR director, moves administrator contract submissions and approves staff changes

The board also approved appointing Dr. Dennis Vespe as Interim Human Resources Director at $500 per day, effective March 23, 2026 through June 30, 2027 or until the position is filled. The appointment was listed among several staffing items that included substitute nurses, custodial hires, special-education teacher placements, mentor and coach stipends, and compensatory payments for unused sick and vacation days for retirees and former employees.

The meeting recorded no public responses to the public comment that raised a student-transportation safety concern, though the resident said he would follow up with the district.
