Council approved a resolution to honor the Mann family by designating a portion of the city’s industrial area west of the Chisholm Trail Parkway as the Mann Family Industrial Park.
Mr. Fackle presented the resolution and reviewed the family's multi‑decade history in Cleburne, including business operations, land contributions that supported major employers (a Walmart distribution center and other facilities) and two stints of service on the city council by family member Mike Mann. "This resolution honors that legacy and the family's instrumental role in shaping the city's industrial growth," he said.
Mayor Scott Kane made the motion to adopt the resolution and emphasized the family's community contributions; he presented a plaque and said staff would work on locating and designing a marker. The resolution specifies the designation will not affect current or future property owners or businesses in the area.
The council approved the resolution unanimously and congratulated the family on the recognition.
