School committee approves ISE classroom additions and hires Red Oak for construction

The committee also voted to contract with Red Oak (referred to in the discussion as the contractor already working on the culinary room) to perform construction on the ISE classroom. “This is the contractor and this will allow them to start doing the work,” the chair said after the motion and second.
Committee members discussed minor drawing changes proposed by the building committee — removing a wall and relocating a sensory room to improve access — and agreed they were likely to be revenue‑neutral or minor change orders.
Next steps: with committee approval the district will proceed with the Red Oak contract and begin summer work subject to town approvals and any final change‑order clarifications.
