Water department staff said the replacement lift station has roughly a 12-week lead time from order to delivery to the job site, and that the city is pushing the contractor for a firm timeline. "It is a 12-week lead time," staff said, adding that the city needs the station ordered so installation can happen during the construction season. A council member noted the project is tied to grant deadlines and street work scheduling and urged timely action so the waterline can be completed before the street project begins.
The council did not reassign the engineer at the meeting but asked staff to continue oversight and to report back with updates on the lift-station procurement and the waterline schedule.
