City management said Orozco has lived in La Mirada for more than 40 years, works as a community engagement manager at Roth Staffing, and has served with the Association of Latino Professionals for America, Project Management Institute of Orange County, the Women’s Empowerment Group and Girls Incorporated’s mentorship program. Staff recommended appointment for a term ending May 2027.
Council moved and seconded the nomination, the council approved the appointment by roll call and the mayor administered the oath of office. Council congratulated Orozco on her new role.
