Staff told the council that G & R will deed the constructed 2800 West to the city while the city will deed a previously abandoned 2770 West alignment to the developer. The company will grant an expanded utility easement and pay $169,361.24 toward transmission-line construction; Hurricane City will provide $118,161.24 in power impact-fee vouchers for use on G & R’s SkyView project along 600 North.
Staff recommended the agreement after multiple meetings with the developer. Councilman Preet moved to approve the item and Councilman Thomas seconded; the motion passed.
No formal challenges or amendments were recorded during the discussion. The agreement is intended to resolve competing easement needs and allow the city to place the transmission line while the developer proceeds with its SkyView project.
