The Board of Civil Service Trustees approved a series of routine personnel actions during its April 22, 2026, meeting, including minutes, certifications of eligible lists, abolishment of an existing eligible list, and placement of two people on a rehire list.
Member Stamper moved to approve the minutes of the April 8, 2026, meeting; the board voted four in favor, none opposed, and the motion carried.
On a motion announced by the chair, the board certified eligible lists for multiple positions including community program technician; court clerk; deputy city marshal lateral; IT supervisor (promotional); land survey associate; maintenance worker; and youth behavioral specialist. The chair recorded the motion as moved by Member Hess; the vote was four ayes, none opposed.
The board also approved abolishing the eligible list for deputy city marshal lateral established Oct. 22, 2025, and agreed to place Michelle Arabula and Orlando Hernandez on the rehire list for maintenance worker; both actions passed by the same 4-0 margin reported earlier.
The chair opened the citizens' participation portion of the agenda and, seeing no speakers for matters within the board's jurisdiction, adjourned the meeting.
