Board hears audit updates, approves ClearGov budgeting package and several budget amendments

Commissioners voted to adopt Option 3 after the manager consulted with the auditors and department heads.
Board members also approved several budget amendments across FY25 and FY26 that staff presented during the cycle, including amendments tied to grant awards and project budgets. Commissioner Dr. Keedra Whitaker said digitizing budget workflows will reduce paper and improve transparency; Commissioner Taylor asked staff to ensure coach and auditor reviews before major purchases.
What happens next: County staff will onboard ClearGov in the coming months, department heads will submit capital improvement project lists for a January planning session, and finance will continue to post audit findings and reconcile outstanding items.
