The Ferron City Planning and Zoning Commission approved meeting minutes and handled routine other business at its March 3 session.
Commissioners voted to approve minutes dated Dec. 2, 2025 and Jan. 6, 2026 after motions and seconds. During other business, staff reported a complaint about two 40-foot Connex containers on JD Sealy’s property along Highway 10 and agreed to send a compliance letter; the zoning administrator and the mayor normally sign off on zone-clearance approvals.
Staff also reported approval of a garage at a property identified around 770 West Mill Road (the former Kendall Yost property) and noted multiple annexation inquiries. Commissioners were given access to an annexation packet and asked to review it. The commission confirmed receipt of a Campswell annexation application packet; staff said the county had sent the certified mail zoning application.
Commissioners were encouraged to attend a regional land-use training Thursday at 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Emery County offices in Casa Dale hosted by the Southeastern Utah Regional Development Agency; staff agreed to forward the event email to commissioners.
The meeting ended after brief commissioner comments and a motion to adjourn.
