The Little Falls City Council approved Change Order No.1 with DeckTech LLC on July 21 to address additional substructure work beneath the golf course clubhouse deck.
Public Works Director Greg said contractors encountered areas where the substructure required supplemental trusses to make the deck structurally sound before decking could be installed. “There are some additional work that was completed on the substructure of the deck… The change order price is $1,250,” Greg said, and staff recommended charging the cost to the golf course improvement project.
Council members raised aesthetic concerns about the club house’s white lattice and discussed potential improvements for the area underneath the deck; staff said repairs to the concrete slope and related maintenance work were underway. The council voted in favor of the change order.
