Michael Skeen, Public Works Director, reported that the Feb. 7 household hazardous-waste (HHW) event drew 212 participants and used an online signup form. He announced three additional HHW events for May 9, Aug. 8 and Nov. 14.
Skeen said materials were budgeted to install two restrooms at the last two remote sites; Mr. Hankins will work with facilities on the installations. He also said staff are planning a scrap-tire collection event in June.
These items were presented as operational updates; no formal committee votes or funding approvals were recorded at the Feb. 18 meeting.
