If approved, the county will receive $319,249.21 in state funds that can be used for a broad set of transportation-related activities without federal procurement constraints.
Mader recommended executing the agreement to secure the reimbursement dollars. He said an extra distribution of nearly $117,000 that became available after a statewide bridge-load-rating program ended would be used to hire a consultant to perform bridge inspections this year, with the remainder directed to the county’s asphalt maintenance program and placed in the county’s special highway improvement account (account 127).
The commission voted to approve RFA 2026-49 as presented.
