Gordon Elementary School; Trustee Yang seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to adopt the name.
Board members noted the committee’s careful review and said Poppy Ridge would remain available as a naming option elsewhere. The district plans a groundbreaking for the new school and will proceed with site selection, mascot choice and operational startup steps.
