She described the Silver Lake Beach Party as a standout: "Totally blew my expectations out of the water," she said, and recommended repeating the site and format in 2026.
She described the food-shelf volunteer day as a small, community-oriented spruce-up that drew about a dozen volunteers and noted photos and video from 2025 will be used to promote future events. She urged better outreach—suggesting a one-page mailer, posting a clickable events PDF on the city website and amplified posts on the city Facebook page—and said she will circulate a finalized schedule in January or February.
Eva also proposed tying a community celebration to a 50-year-old time capsule currently buried near the Boy Scout Museum. Working with the historical society and museum volunteers, she suggested revealing the capsule during a car show and displaying artifacts afterward at the museum. "We have no idea what's in it," she said, but recommended pairing a throwback-themed adult music night with the unearthing to increase attendance.
Commissioners responded with practical suggestions—printing a small magnet or mailer from park funds to promote events, adding morning yoga at Silver Lake, and continuing steel-drum music and expanded exercise-in-the-park sessions. The commission agreed staff will circulate event details and the presenter will follow up with staff and the commission in January.
