A city staff member announced that Menifee's Bradley Road Bridge project reached a key construction milestone this week, saying crews placed 863 yards of concrete on the bridge's stem and soffit sections.
"Great news, Menifee," the staff member said, describing the placement as a critical step for the project.
The staff member said crews will next construct the bridge deck falsework in preparation for the deck pour. Storm drain work on the south side of the project is underway and "is expected to be completed soon," the staff member added.
City officials described the structure as a roughly 365-foot, state-of-the-art bridge with structural and seismic design elements and hydraulics improvements intended to give motorists, pedestrians and first responders a safer passage across the flood-prone Salt Creek Wash. "We're excited for the conclusion of the project in the coming months," the staff member said.
