Marion County commissioners approve consent agenda; Cameron appointed to materials council

The Marion County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 14 approved its consent agenda, appointing Commissioner Kevin Cameron to the Materials Management Advisory Council (MMAC) through Jan. 14, 2030, and naming him MMAC chair through Jan. 14, 2027. The board also authorized a special procurement with JB Oregon for support and maintenance of the county’s specialized heating and cooling systems and approved an incoming funds intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the Oregon Youth Authority not to exceed $239,151.63 for processing expunged youth records retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027.
Commissioner Danielle Bethell moved for approval of the consent agenda; Commissioner Kevin Cameron seconded. "Commissioner Bethell moved for approval of the consent agenda," the minutes record. The motion carried with Bethell and Cameron voting aye; Commissioner Colm Willis was absent. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. in the Senator Hearing Room at Courthouse Square and adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
The MMAC appointment updates the county’s representation on the body that advises on materials management; the appointment includes specific term end dates recorded in the order.
