Sheriff reports 18 inmates, March activity totals; board recessed to executive session on personnel

Sheriff Hardesty updated the Richardson County Board of Commissioners on law enforcement activity and facility status at the April 15 meeting, reporting 18 inmates currently held in the county jail.
Hardesty also provided a monthly activity summary for March: 611 total calls, 335 traffic stops and 26 total arrests, 23 handled by the sheriff’s office and 3 by other agencies. Vehicle maintenance for department units was also discussed.
Following that update, Karas moved to recess the regular meeting at 9:31 a.m. for an executive session with Sheriff Hardesty, Deputy Trainee Candace Cox and County Clerk Mary L. Eickhoff to discuss a personnel matter and for the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual(s). The motion carried by roll-call vote. The board closed the executive session and returned to open session at 9:40 a.m.; no discussion about the substance of the personnel matter was recorded in open session.
No formal action concerning personnel was taken in open session.
