Brad Rainey explained the county will perform the work and the city will reimburse 100% of labor, equipment and materials for the one-mile segment. "You'll probably remember we did one of these back in October or November for Coffee Creek Road; similar deal here," Rainey said, adding the county projects can move faster than city‑managed bids.
The scope listed in the packet includes roadside drainage establishment, sub‑base stabilization, construction of an 8‑inch asphalt pavement section, widened paved shoulders and roadway striping.
