County Administrator Gary Bender requested approval to appoint Alex Zimmerman, currently chief administrative officer at Geisinger Central Region in Danville, to the Luzerne/Schuylkill Workforce Development Board to represent the business sector in health care for a term April 8, 2026–April 7, 2030.
Risk Manager and Human Resources Specialist Heather Garrity requested approval of personnel actions in Children & Youth for Raymond Majorino (Clerk Typist II) and Valerie Vickery (Clerk Typist II), both effective April 20, 2026, at an hourly rate per the union contract; a promotion for Noella Neary in Adult Probation effective April 6, 2026; and a promotion for Alicia Beach in the Treasurer’s Office effective April 13, 2026. Garrity noted all appointments are pending drug test and physical and that salary approvals for newly created or changed positions are pending board approval.
The board recorded these personnel requests on the agenda; actions requiring formal appointment or confirmation will proceed as required by county hiring procedures.
