County Solicitor Paul Datte requested authorization to enter a Keystone Communities Initiatives Program contract (No. 000097742) with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for a $1,500,000 grant intended for acquisition, construction, renovation and demolition of blighted or underutilized buildings across Schuylkill County. Datte said the county would cooperate with the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Schuylkill regarding administration and potential subrecipient status, subject to DCED approval.
