Commissioners ratify March designee contracts; two commissioners vote to approve

The Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners ratified a slate of contracts approved by designated county designees in March during its April 1 work session.
County Administrator Gary Bender presented the March designee list, which included multiple vendor contracts, copier leases and service agreements across county departments. The list presented included vendor names, contract terms and amounts as recorded in the designee packet provided to commissioners.
"It was moved by Commissioner Padora, seconded by Commissioner Hess to approve the above request," the record shows. A roll-call vote was recorded: Commissioner Larry Padora voted yes, Commissioner Barron Hetherington was recorded as absent, and Commissioner Gary Hess voted yes, carrying the motion.
The board did not amend or call out individual line items during the session; county staff will proceed with executing and administering the listed designee contracts under existing procurement guidance. The designee list included items such as copier leases, psychological services agreements, copier maintenance contracts and other department-level service agreements; some line-item dates in the printed designee list appear inconsistent and will be verified in procurement records before execution.
