The Mayfield Planning Commission appointed Steve Anderson as chair during its March 31 meeting.
Commission member (S4) moved to volunteer Steve Anderson as chairman and another commissioner seconded. Staff and commissioners discussed whether the zoning-administrator role could be held by the chair; staff noted Steve Anderson had assumed zoning-administrator duties after Grant Hanson left and has handled zoning permits in addition to mayoral responsibilities. The motion carried.
Commissioners thanked Anderson for his past service as zoning administrator and for agreeing to serve as chair; staff noted that if legal or procedural questions arise about combining roles they would be addressed through the town code.
