Mayor Jae’Ques Brown opened the meeting and, after routine approval of the Jan. 26 minutes, the council moved through new-business items. Councilmember Ed Sims moved to adopt Resolution 2026-03, which accepts a franchise extension agreement with Spectrum Southeast LLC (Charter); Councilmember Brandon Smith Sr. seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Joseph West moved to authorize Resolution 2026-04, approving a 14-vehicle lease agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management; Councilmember Sims seconded and the measure passed unanimously.
