Summary
County Administrator Michelle Crombie presented a 350‑page ADA transition plan developed with Youngstown State University and Hausen Staub Architecture; the board adopted the plan by resolution and noted a one‑year extension for website accessibility work.
County Administrator Michelle Crombie asked the board to adopt a 350-page American with Disabilities Act (ADA) transition plan assembled with Youngstown State University and Hausen Staub Architecture. Crombie said the plan is a starting point and that county IT will continue working on digital accessibility components, for which the county has received a one-year extension.
Crombie said, "They did a fantastic job... we have put this 350 page ADA plan together," and asked for the board's support to publish the plan on the county website. Commissioners expressed support, acknowledged ongoing work and approved the plan by resolution on roll call.
The resolution notes that additional supporting documentation is available upon request and that county IT will continue work to comply with web-accessibility requirements.
Next steps: the county will post the ADA transition plan on its website, continue IT work on digital accessibility and track remediation items identified in the plan.
