Planning Commission forwards three land-use recommendations to Town Council
Summary
The commission unanimously recommended three land-use items — two conditional-use requests for manufactured homes and a preliminary plat subdividing 5.34 acres into 19 lots — to the Town Council on March 2.
At its March 2 meeting the Town of Pike Road Planning Commission voted unanimously to forward three land-use recommendations to the Town Council.
1) CU 26.02 — 415 Sellars Road: Senior Planner Darrell Rigsby presented a conditional-use request to place a manufactured home on a 24.25±-acre AG parcel at 415 Sellars Road. Applicant William Missildine said the home would be a "starter home" for family members. Commissioner Pat Harris moved to approve; Commissioner Bill Cornwell seconded. The commission voted by unanimous consent to recommend the item to Town Council.
2) CU 26.03 — 9971 Troy Highway: Senior Planner Darrell Rigsby presented a conditional-use request to place a manufactured home on an 8.2±-acre AG parcel at 9971 Troy Highway (US 231). The applicant was present; there were no public speakers. Commissioner Tito Peterson moved to approve and Commissioner Sandy Cowen seconded; unanimous consent was given to recommend the item to Town Council.
3) SDP 26.05 — Kinsley at McDade Plat No. 4A: Senior Planner Darrell Rigsby presented a preliminary plat to subdivide 5.34± acres into 19 residential lots in the Kinsley at McDade neighborhood. The applicant was present and there were no public speakers. Commissioner Bill Cornwell moved to approve; Commissioner Ty Glassford seconded and the motion passed by unanimous consent.
Each item was approved by unanimous consent and will be scheduled for the next available Town Council meeting for final action.
