Deputy Chair Linda of the Planning Commission told the Rockville Town Council that the commission met and unanimously voted to accept an amended subdivision plat for 490 East Main, submitted by Jacob Anderson.
"We looked at all the ins and outs of what made it an amended plot or plat, and it seemed fine," Deputy Chair Linda said, reporting the commission’s unanimous recommendation. Linda explained the change slightly altered the lot line toward the river but said the applicant owns adjacent parcels and the change would not infringe on neighboring lots.
Commissioners discussed that river channel changes can occur over time and noted the amended plat will keep the new boundary as filed, even if the river later shifts. The commission did not record any public comment on the application and did not request additional conditions beyond standard platting procedures.
The Planning Commission’s recommendation was provided for council consideration; the council took no final land-use action during the March 11 meeting.
