City staff asked the council to approve awarding the Huntley Hills Park master plan contract to Foresight Group LLC for an amount not to exceed $205,000, saying the firm was selected following a competitive procurement and was judged most qualified for the civil-engineering and landscape-architectural work. Staff requested authorization for the city manager to execute final documents.
Staff said the schedule begins with kickoff meetings with the city in March, three public-input meetings with Chamblee residents (not limited to the Huntley Hills neighborhood), schematic design and design development April–July, construction documents and permitting July–December, and a goal of completing construction by October 2027. Staff clarified that an associated stream-bank/stormwater project is administered by Public Works and currently in the environmental-permitting phase; the projects may proceed in parallel but are separate efforts.
Council members asked about public input; staff confirmed three public meetings will be scheduled and explained permitting and sequencing. The transcript records the award request and timeline but does not show a council vote on the contract.
