Commission elects Shan Willoughby as chair; slate approved unanimously

The Chamblee Public Art Commission approved its January 2026 minutes and elected new officers for 2026 during the Feb. 26 meeting.
Chair Britney Harper reviewed officer responsibilities and said the three officer roles (chair, vice chair, secretary) are limited to commissioners appointed by the City Council. Commissioners nominated Shan Willoughby for chair, Kelsey for vice chair and Angela for secretary. Elmer Vyres recommended handling the slate as a single consent motion, and the commission moved and voted to approve the three officers as nominated.
The chair called for the vote and reported the slate passed unanimously by raised hands. Earlier in the meeting the commission also moved to approve the January meeting minutes and that motion likewise passed without opposition.
Next steps: The new officers will assume their duties for the year and the chair transition will be formalized at the next meeting; staff will continue to post minutes and maintain the commission’s meeting template.
