Hueytown council approves $606,270.62 in bills, adopts nuisance declarations and administrative policies

The Hueytown City Council on March 10 approved a bills list totaling $606,270.62 and adopted a series of resolutions addressing code enforcement, administrative policy and city vehicle purchases.
Council Member Zinnerman presented the accounts‑payable list, which the council approved by unanimous roll call. The minutes list balances including a Servis 1st Bank operating account balance of $485,913.14 and a municipal court fund balance of $82,981.50 that contributed to the overall total.
The council then voted unanimously to adopt Resolutions 7366 through 7372, each declaring a public nuisance (weeds, trash and/or inoperable vehicle) at specified Hueytown addresses. The body also approved Resolution 7373 authorizing a voluntary disclosure agreement regarding taxes and business licenses, Resolution 7374 establishing a policy for processing ACH electronic funds transfers to vendors, and Resolution 7375 authorizing the purchase and re‑assignment of certain city vehicles. Each resolution was moved and seconded as recorded in the minutes and passed by roll call vote with President Hurliman and Council Members Zinnerman, Randall, Wright and Jacks voting in favor.
Ordinance No. 26‑0310‑01 (first reading), to add Article XIII on consumable hemp products, was opened for public hearing; no one spoke and the council closed the hearing without action on final adoption.
