Planning commission reviews annual report, case counts and UDC implementation

"We had 20 cases," Leslie Knapp said after clarifying a packet discrepancy; staff acknowledged an earlier export error in the commission packet and said the presentation numbers are accurate.
Staff noted the town's Unified Development Code (UDC) took effect Sept. 1 and has already reduced certain special-use permit activity. Knapp said the UDC will continue to be refined based on feedback and that staff will return to council on Feb. 3 to discuss a parks-specific zoning district or overlay.
Commissioners suggested rewording work-plan language to reflect that the UDC has been implemented and that subsequent items are refinements or improvements rather than initial implementation. Staff agreed to revise wording, to correct identified errors in the packet, and to return corrected materials at a future meeting for the commission's formal action before forwarding to council.
What's next: Staff will correct the packet discrepancy, update language on the work plan to reflect implementation versus ongoing refinement where appropriate, and bring final materials to the regular meeting for the commission's action and transmittal to council.
