At its Dec. 19 meeting, the Carter County Board of Commissioners approved several school-related budget amendments and federal-project allocations.
Motions included approving General Purpose School Fund #141 Amendment 141-4 (total $264,518.28, with $61,166.36 from that fund's Unassigned Fund Balance) and multiple School Federal Projects Fund #142 amendments: 142-4A ($67,920.67), 142-4B ($163,062.41), 142-6 ($1,036,725.56), 142-6A ($3,547,760.44) and 142-6B ($13,448,908.36). The motions were presented separately; most carried with recorded electronic and voice votes. Commissioner Daniel McInturff abstained on some school-related votes where abstentions are noted in the minutes.
The commission also approved a Head Start Fund #145 amendment for $7,553.00. These actions allocate federal and local funding across program and school accounts as reflected in the motions recorded in the meeting minutes.
