City recognizes municipal court clerks; two receive statewide certifications and awards

At the start of its meeting, the Georgetown City Council heard a recognition of municipal court staff.
Holly Hayfey introduced the recognition and Tracy Ventura, a member of the Texas Court Clerks Association board and the court administrator for Liberty Hill, presented two honors. Ventura said roughly 3,000 municipal court clerks serve in Texas and that about 156 have achieved Level 3 certification, which requires completion of education, clinic attendance, court observation and a professional journal. "It's a true testament to their dedication to the profession," Ventura said, presenting a Distinguished Service Award to Tina Heine and a Level 3 certification to the clerk identified in the transcript as Bridal Madaqim (hereafter shown as presented).
Council members congratulated the awardees. The recognition was presented before the council moved into consent and legislative business.
